Newton Biography

THE CHALLENGE:

Since you have wrapped up your “Diagramming Newton’s Laws” project early you have an opportunity to learn more about the life and accomplishments of one of the most famous scientific figures in history—Sir Isaac Newton.  Today you will extend your learning by scanning some internet sites and using information that you find to create a short biography of this legendary scientist.

THE REWARD:

The student who submits the most informative biography will have their work posted on Mr. Martella’s Webpage!

THE PROCESS:

1.     Create a new document in Microsoft Word to record your information.  Save as “My Newton Biography” in your U drive.

2.     Find a picture of Isaac Newton and insert it into the biography.

3.     Research and include facts about Newton’s life (when and where he was born, how long he lived, some of his famous accomplishments, etc.)

4.     Describe his three laws of motion using examples from your own life.

5.     When finished, save the document to the Martella folder in the X drive.

** Your submitted biography should be about one page in length and should be mechanically correct.  Do not forget to save the paper to your U drive and the Martella folder on the X drive!
